Christoph Pohl as a leading German baritone is acclaimed for his expressive artistry and wide-ranging repertoire. A former ensemble member of the Semperoper Dresden he has sung major roles at Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Theater an der Wien. Renowned for both classical and contemporary work, he created the title role in Georg Friedrich Haas’s Morgen und Abend. Upcoming highlights include performances at the Semperoper Dresden, Hamburg State Opera, and the Royal opera Covent Garden. He is also a distinguished Liedsinger and international highly recognized on the Concert stage.
